Credits & usage

What credits are, what uses them, and how to see where they went on the Usage page.

Credits pay for the work your workflows and agents do. Each time a neuron uses AI, such as writing text, reading an image or turning speech into text, or acts in a connected app, a small number of credits is used.

What uses credits

  • AI work in a neuron's DO, including reading inputs and making results.
  • Making images and audio.
  • Actions in connected apps, and app events that start neurons.
  • Running agents from the Agent Store, including any per-run royalty their Builder set, and installing paid agents.
  • Each neuron in a flow uses credits for its own run.

How many credits a run uses depends on the kind of work and how large the inputs and results are.

Your balance

Your credit balance is shown in the top bar. Click it to see your Balance, what you used in the last 7 days, and Usage, Transactions and Add credits. When it runs low, the balance is marked Low, the menu reads Add credits now, and Home shows a Low credits banner with what remains. Click the banner, or Add credits on Home's Credits card, to add credits. See Credits & pricing.

The Usage page

The Usage page lists every operation that used credits. Open it from Usage in the menu under your credit balance in the top bar, Usage on Home's Credits card, the canvas's Go to… menu, from See all usage in a workflow's Runs section, or from Usage Analytics on the Transactions page.

  1. Pick a period in the date menu, for example Last 7 Days or Last 30 Days.
  2. The cards at the top show the number of transactions, Total Credits used and the Avg per Transaction for that period.
  3. Under Usage Records, filter by AI model (All Models) or search by neuron ID, model or operation.
  4. Each record shows the model or app action, the neuron, the time and the cost. Click a record to see the breakdown: Billing Type, Total, Input, Output and, for models that think first, Thinking. Some models report one cost instead of an input and output split; the record then shows it as Model usage. When a long input is repeated soon after, the record can also show Cached next to Input (for example "Input 100 · Cached 2,900"): cached input is input the AI had already read a moment before, and it costs less than new input.

A call that uses very little is charged the smallest amount; its record then shows Smallest charge.

Agent installs appear as Agent Purchase, app actions as "Tool call" and app events as "Trigger".

Usage for one workflow

In the canvas, open Runs in the left rail. RUNS lists this workflow's runs, one row each, with the credits each run used. See Running.

Common problems

Credits were used but there's no result

AI work uses credits even when a run fails or returns nothing. Find the record on the Usage page, make the instructions clearer, and try again.

Running low on credits?

Add credits from the menu under your credit balance (Add credits) before your balance runs out, so your runs aren't interrupted.
